Broken Pieces

In the third year of my creative media study, I made a piece of art called Broken Pieces for my collaboration module. I worked with two musicians and a character designer on this module. Named after the piece "Broken Pieces", It illustrates how a couple who had split up eventually found their way back to one another through fate.

I tried to use the ideal fusion of animation and music to tell a story while collaborating with a character designer and a classical musician. The traditional hand-drawn animation method was intentionally employed to produce a timeless visual that may evoke nostalgia to my audience. I think that the final result was successful. Tell me what you think.

Satan's House - VR Game

In the second year of my creative media degree at Plymouth University, I designed and developed the virtual reality game entitled "Satan's House" for my interactive and immersive media module. This was one of my most challenging projects due to not having a lot of experience with game design at the time. The narrative of the game centers on Detective James Somerset, who was investigating an abandoned barn. However it was a trap. He needs to figure out four clues painted on the wall in order to get the four-digit combination that unlocks the door in order to escape.

My goal in making the game was to captivate the players with a gripping story and heighten the suspense with an unsettling environment. I believe that that my worked succeeded in regards to having an unsettling environment but would have liked to develop the story further. However, I believe it was a good outcome for my first attempt. Tell me what you think.

Optic Order - Short Animation

In the second year of my creative media degree at Plymouth University, I was part of a group named "Optic Order" for my  Common Challenge - Social Context module. Our group was designed to raise awareness about the ever growing problem of homelessness around Plymouth.

Our idea was to create videos showing some of the issues we were brining to attention. As well as that we conducted interviews with actual people who had experienced homelessness first hand to tell there stories. My job within the group was to create a short animation to play promoting our organization that would play in-between each of the stories. I wanted to highlight what our aim was an organization as well as clearly displaying our logo so people would know who we are. Tell me what you think.

Cinemograph Short Film

In the second year of my creative media degree at Plymouth University, I created a short film consisting of animated and real footage Cinemographs for my Experiment module. These Cinemographs aims was to highlight the problems with social media.

To do this I used my animated Cinemographs to represent the false perceptions of the world because of them viewing them through a screen. This then moves onto the actual footage Cinemographs which represented real life. My overall message was to encourage people to go out and live their lives to the full and experience new things for themselves. Tell me what you think.
